Filter the chat list

Introduction

The chat list on LINE OA contains your messages with customers. They provide a text search feature to find which chats contain a particular message. However, what if you want to search for a specific chat with other special conditions? We provide a feature to filter your chats easily and quickly. You can find this feature next to message search on LINE OA and get started with it.

Status filter

This filter is used to display the chats according to the contact status of the customers. You can select "Available to contact" to display only customers who can still be contacted or you can select "Not available" if you want to see which customers cannot be contacted.

This is very useful if you want to see which subscribers are still active or inactive because they blocked you or removed you from their chats.

Tag filter

This filter is used to display the chats based on the presence of their tags. You can select "Have tags" to display customers who have / have one or more tags and you can select "No tags" if you want to see which customers have not been tagged or have no tags.

This is very useful if you want to know which customers you haven't tagged so you can tag them later.

Reply filter

This filter is used to display chats based on the presence of the customer's response to the last message from you. You can select "Already replied" to display chats that have been replied to / have replies from customers and you can select "No reply" if you want to display chats that have not been replied to since your last message.

This is very useful if you want to know which customers have answered or have not replied to your last message.

Read filter

This filter is used to display chats based on the customer's reading status of your last message. You can select "Already read" to display chats that have been read by customers and you can select "Unread" if you want to display chats that have not been seen by your customers at all.

This is very useful if you want to know which customers have seen/read your last message.

Nickname filter

Nickname is a custom name configured manually by you. When you change the contact name of your customer, that name is the nickname of your customer.

This filter is used to display customer chats based on the existence of their nickname. You can select "Using a nickname" to display which customers are using the nickname and you can select "Default name" if you want to display which customers are still using the original name of their LINE account.

This feature is useful if you want to configure nicknames for customers who want to change their names. It can also separate which customers already have a name configuration.

This is very useful if you want to know which customers have seen/read your last message.

Last message filter

This filter is used to display customer chats based on the type of the last message in the chat. Start by moving the selection to "Last message is" and then selecting the message type.

This feature is useful if you want to know which customers have the last message of a certain type.

Date filter

This feature uses the date as a reference to filter data. There are mode selector, date comparator and also date entry.

In filter mode you can choose one of the available types.

  • Date of last received message Filter chats based on the date of the last message received by you. The date of the last incoming message from the customer will be used as a reference in filtering.

  • Date of last sent message Filter chats by date of the last message sent by you. The date the message was last sent to the customer will be used as a reference in filtering.

  • Date of last read Filter chats based on when the message was seen by the customer. The view/read date of the last message will be referenced in filtering. This is useful for filtering exactly by when the message was read.

  • Date of last chat Filter chats based on when they last had a conversation. The date of the last message that was received or sent will be used as a reference in filtering.

In performing date filtering, there is a comparator that determines how the date will be searched.

  • = Equal to date This comparator will filter chats by searching by mode whose date exactly matches the one entered in the date field

  • < Less than date This comparator will filter chats by searching by mode whose date is smaller / earlier than the one entered in the date field

  • > More than date This comparator will filter chats by searching by mode whose date is bigger / ahead of what is entered in the date field

  • >< Between two dates This comparator will filter chats by searching by mode whose date is between the two dates entered in the date fields.

Okay, those are some important parts that must be determined before using this filter. Here's an example of how to use it, we'll find out which chats have the last message that came in between August 1, 2021 and August 31, 2021.

As you can see, the results will show the last incoming chat that occurred between those dates.

Summary

All available chat filters are not only used individually. you can combine them at will to get the desired chat results. When you have finished using it, you can press the "Reset" button to return your chat list to the way it was on LINE OA.
